Valley Hospital Charity are delighted to have secured a sponsor for this year Ride4Life 2019 - Valley to Amsterdam team cycling jerseys, in Artic Building Services Limited.

Not only is the Hard Facilities Management company, which has its HQ based in Dartford, supporting through the jersey sponsorship, two staff members; Charlotte Pinder, Business Development Coordinator and Lee Rumble, Projects Manager and also getting on their bikes and representing Artic on the cycling challenge.

The Ride4Life 2019 Valley to Amsterdam ride takes place between the 12th to 16th June 2019. The 334 mile cycle ride starts at Darent Valley Hospital, cycling through four countries in just four days, ending up in Amsterdam for a celebration night to remember.

The aim is to raise £50,000 through the event, with the money raised helping to expand and upgrade our Special Care Baby Unit, and supporting our Breast Cancer Unit to purchase the latest 3D imaging technology. 

On Monday 4th February, Valley Hospital Charity welcomed Managing Directors, Paul Lucas and Colin Trowell, Derek Parker, Head of Business Development and Artic's riders Charlotte and Lee to the Hospital to visit Walnut Ward, the Special Care Baby Unit which will be benefiting from money raised by the event. Becca Law, one of the Neonatal Nurses on the Ward who is taking part in the ride gave Artic a tour of the Unit and showed off her fundraising wall. Becca talked through the plans and need for the expansion and upgrade; to offer our families the care they need closer to home. 

The Artic team said,

“We have a broad portfolio of NHS hospitals within Kent and London, as such this acute sector is always very close to our core business operations. Artic has strong ties to Darent Valley Hospital. Many of our employees and their families have had a positive experience of attending and being served by the wonderful staff and Doctors at the hospital. It is with immense gratitude and pride that we have this opportunity to support our local hospital and partner with this fantastic charity event. We wish Lee and Charlotte and all the other riders the very best of luck!”
