On Friday 8th November the Phillip Farrant Centre on Level 1 at Darent Valley Hospital became a tranquil setting for staff, patients and public to indulge in bit of pre-Christmas pampering for charity.

....the evening raised an impressive £908!

Organised by volunteer fundraisers Joan Warwick and Carol Woodgates, and assisted by their faithful team of volunteers, the evening raised an impressive £908.06 for the Cancer Fighting Fund and is getting them ever closer to the half a million mark raised through Stride4Life fundraising activities.

In between treatments people were invited to visit the stalls selling aromatic candles, oils, knitted baby items and a tombola.

There were also some delicious homemade cakes and tea and coffee and refreshments available in The Bridge Room.
