Charlotte Whitlock Hi all,

On the 8th October 2018 I found out I was successful in receiving a ballot place in the London Marathon. As many of you also know, my gorgeous first nephew George was born 10 days later on 18th October 2018. Unfortunately he was in and out of special care for a week after due to his breathing being too fast, where he was placed in an incubator and subsequently need other breathing equipment to help him. The special care unit at Darent Valley Hospital provided George and my family with great care and support throughout his stay.

I have therefore chosen Little Buds Funds which supports the Maternity and Special Care Baby Unit at Darent Valley Hospital as my chosen charity to run the London Marathon for. They are only a small charity which is another reason I have chosen them as the equipment needed to care for babies is extremely expensive. An incubator costs as much as £25,000 each, and a ventilator costs £5,000 each. They are currently upgrading and expanding the Special Care baby unit so I would like to raise as much funds as I can to enable them to do this.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and if you are able to, please dig deep and support this great charity.

Thank you so much
Charlotte Charlotte Whitlock
