Harry is 8 years old and after watching Boris Johnson’s announcement of a third lockdown, felt inspired to do something to help the staff of his local NHS hospital, Darent Valley.  Harry decided to take on a 5k cycle ride in his local area as part of his allowed daily exercise.

"They’ve all worked so hard and deserve something to help them through."

With an original target of £150, Harry has now completed his cycle and actually did 6.09km so a little further than he had planned and has raised £1,115 for the Staff Wellbeing Fund - just a little over his original target!

After completing his cycle Harry said:

"It was really hard work but it’s worth one hour of hard work to make work a bit easier for all the people that are working hard all the time at the hospital."

"I definitely need a bigger bike, my legs have to work too hard on this little one!"

At least his mum Sam knows what he wants for his birthday in August!
