On Thursday 19th January, 7 - 9pm, we held our first in-person Supporter Evening since the pandemic.

We welcomed donors in to Darent Valley Hospital to hear about the great work being carried out by our Paediatric Team, supported by Valley Hospital Charity's Lollipop Fund, to benefit sick children from babies to teens.
We had presentations from Sue Dawes, Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse, Alero Omaghomi, Paediatric Haemoglobinopathy Clinical Nurse Specialist, Fran Choudhry, Paediatric Respiratory Specialist Nurse, Dr Jatinder Singh Jheeta Consultant Paediatrician and Leanne Suthanah, Senior Sister who spoke about the equipment, educational resources and activities that the Charity has funded and the difference this was making to the care we could provide our young patients and their families.

  • Child friendly Transfusion Recliner Chairs
  • Musical books for distraction during blood test and allergy testing
  • Ultrasound for guided cannulation
  • Videolaryngoscopy for accurate lifesaving intubation
  • Feno machine to support Asthma care
