Dr Tariq Shafi Memorial Cricket Match

On a sizzling hot day a closely fought contest ended with the DCC XI overhauling DGT’s total of 143 with just seven balls to spare.

A fantastic commemorative match and a fitting tribute to Dr Shafi played in the proper spirit by both sides which raised an amazing £1,040 for our Cancer Fighting Fund.

 

The official donation was made to Dr Shafi’s sons Taimur and Umur by DCC Chair Harry Bright.
