About us Latest News Bosom Buddies We are continually overwhelmed by the generosity of our amazing supporters and were delighted to receive a wonderful donation of £9k from the Bosom Buddies Breast Patient Support Group. Receiving this fantastic donation Ms Seetharam Consultant Breast & Oncoplastic Surgeon said: 'On behalf of The Empress Breast Unit and all our patients, I would wholeheartedly like to thank the members of Bosom Buddies, our Breast Patient Support Group who have made a generous contribution of £9000 to the Breast Fund. Bosom Buddies have been very strong supporters of the Unit over the years’ and have, in the past helped us to purchase various pieces of equipment which enables us to provide comprehensive care of our patients with cutting edge technology. They have arranged fundraising events including a 1920’s themed ball which helped raise this large amount which was indeed attended not only patients but various members of the Breast Team as well. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them individually as well as a group for their continued support, dedication and of course their optimism which spills over whenever we meet with the group. We have plans to purchase more equipment to help improve not only our diagnostics but also our treatment planning in the near future. Once the items are finalized, we will update our supporters on these pages’.
