David Mote and Alison Luck, Branch Committee Members of the Greenhithe Royal British Legion, visited Walnut Ward on Monday 25th March. They were delighted to meet Gemma and Ben Everett, and baby Jude, who was born premature at 30 weeks gestation. 8 weeks and several hospital's later, the new family were preparing to go home later that day to start their life together, still 2 weeks before Jude official due date.

David and Alison visited the Ward regarding a £1,000 donation to the Little Buds Fund kindly raised by the Greenhithe Royal British Legion to benefit the special care of babies at the Hospital. With the generous donation Christina Thomas, Senior Sister informed them that the Ward is seeking Apnea Alarms. These monitors detect when a baby is breathing and alarm if they stop for more than 20 seconds. We hope to be able to buy 5 monitors with the donation.
