On Thursday 5 October we were delighted to welcome Nicole Caulfield, Deputy CEO of The Golden Thread Alliance and pupils from within the nine primary schools in the Multi-Academy Trust, to celebrate their combined effort in raising an impressive £1,481.22 for our #LollipopAppeal through their NHS @ 75 fundraising activities. This included penalty shootouts and dressing-up; each school putting their own spin on the 75th birthday.

Colleagues from Willow Ward, our Children’s Ward, joined Nicole and pupils next to our donor recognition board, which recognises donations of over £1,000 for our Lollipop Fund, which benefits sick children from babies to teens. Pupils were pleased to see The Golden Thread Alliance name on there.

A huge thank you to The Golden Thread Alliance, each of the nine schools, teachers, pupils and their families for celebrating this important NHS milestone with us and for raising money to improve the hospital experience for our young patients.
