Walnut Elves decorate the ward for Christmas

'Every first Christmas deserves to be celebrated; and this is even more important when a baby is born prematurely or is unwell & spends their first Christmas in hospital and this is why the Walnut Elves have been preparing for Christmas since long before some of our new arrivals made their entrance into this World.

After some discussion we decided upon a Reindeer theme, naming each of our nurseries after one of Father Christmas’ famous nine.

Our tree was adorned with Reindeer decorations & the desk a glow with the famous red noses of Rudolph!

And with thanks to Darent Valley Hospital: Little Buds Fund & our previous families, this year each of our newest additions were gifted a variety of Reindeer gifts, from our Personalised Walnut Christmas Decoration to a cuddly Toy & First Christmas Rattle.

We turned their tiny footprints into our festive friends & created a bauble containing a length of ribbon the same length as them; hopefully treasured keepsakes for years to come.

Our babies really do deserve a special first Christmas & we truly hope we achieved that
