On Thursday 28th March, Darent Valley Hospital hosted a static cycle challenge, with each bike clocking up 70 miles, the equivalent of the distance the riders taking part in Ride4Life will be doing on their first day from the Hospital to Dover. The activity raised £525 for the two causes the Ride4Life challenge is supporting at the Hospital; purchasing the latest 3D imaging technology for our Breast Cancer Unit, and supporting the upgrade and expansion of our Special Care Baby Unit on Walnut Ward.

Michael Brand, Governance Manager and Becca Law, Neonatal Nurse on Walnut Ward (SCBU), along with fellow Valley Hospital Charity Ride4Life cyclists Lee Rumble and Charlotte Pinder from Artic Building Services rode the 140 miles between them, with help from a few willing members of staff so they could have their lunch! This is all good practice for their 4 day cycling event 12 - 16 June when they leave Darent Valley Hospital and head for Amsterdam!

Thank you to everyone who donated and well done to the cyclists.
