About us Latest News The Martin family visit SCBU The entire family are extremely passionate about the ward and have been incredible fundraisers for our Darent Valley Hospital: Little Buds Fund over the last couple of years. Yesterday’s visit was also to commemorate the passing of Dave Martin, Beau and Grayson’s Grandfather, who sadly lost his battle with Cancer just before Christmas One of Dave’s final wishes was for people to make cash donations to little buds rather than send flowers to his funeral. The £1400 raised took the amalgamated Martin family fundraise towards a stellar £15k! As a mark of our sincere gratitude we were honoured to add the words ‘Fly High Dave Martin’ to the existing ‘The Martin Family’ entry on the little buds £1k donation board outside Walnut. Valley Hospital Charity would like to extend our deepest condolences to the Martin Family for the loss of Dave, and thank them so much for all their amazing, incredible and ongoing support of little buds!
